For more than eighty years, Charlotte Eye Ear Nose & Throat Associates has offered comprehensive eye ear nose and throat care to generations of Carolinians. In 1923, three physicians became a part of Charlotte medical history when they formed the multispecialty group, Charlotte Eye Ear and Throat (CEENT) Hospital on Seventh Street in downtown Charlotte. The 37 bed CEET Hospital was established by the partnership of James P. Matheson, MD, Clarence N. Peeler, MD, and Henry L. Sloan, Sr. MD. This was the 1st multispecialty hospital of its kind in the area, which housed an optical department, laboratory and waiting room.
