Presently, her latest medium is oil. She has toned down her color palette and is drawn toward the smaller canvas which echoes her new found respect for the landscape genre. She is trying to tackle the flexibility and looseness that oils bring to the canvas. This new endeavor will aid her as an artist fine tune her manipulation of the color palette to create depth and contrast in her works. As she grapples with the flexibility and forgiveness of oils, she is earning a better sense of color theory and how it relates and creates a readable and believable canvas.
