S&ME Vice President Dane Horna, PE, has been named the 2010 Volunteer of the Year by the Professional Engineers of North Carolina (PENC)Horna, an environmental engineer and senior consultant in the Charlotte branch, received the honor in June at the PENC Professional Development Conference at Wrightsville Beach, NC. The award came in honor of his work as engineer mentor for the national champions in the National Future City Competition, an annual event held in Washington as part of National Engineers Week.
